Trish Keenan, James Cargill, Roj Stevens他２名でバンドを始める、９０年代中期、数曲のシングルをリリースするとWarp Recordsが興味を指めし出す。バンドは３枚のアルバム、いくつかのEPをリリース、２００９年にはThe Focus Groupとのコラボレーション作品を発表。２００９年末には" I Found The F "が GravenhurstにカバーされWarp20 コンピレーションに収録される。１９９９年、バンドの曲 "You Can Fall "が映画Morvern Callarのサントラに採用される。このサントラもWarp Recordsからリリースされている。バンドの音楽スタイルはミクスチャーのエレクトロニックサウンドとボーカル、Trishの６０年代風のボーカルスタイル、アメリカのバンド" The United States Of America "に強い影響を受けている。複数の同じようなエフェクトが随所に使われている。なお、Broadcastの方が割と暗め。リードシンガー、Trish Keenanが２０１１年１月１４日に肺炎で他界、４２歳であった。James Cargillが２０１３年、Under The RadarのインタビューでBroadcastのニューアルバムを製作中と発表、Trishの生前のボーカルの音源を使用するという。
