スフィアン・スティーヴンス（Sufjan Stevens　1975年7月1日 - ）は、ストーリーテリングを得意とするアメリカ・ミシガン州出身のソングライター。自伝と宗教的な幻想と土地の歴史を絡ませながら、スケールの大きなフォーク・ソングを作り出す。レコーディングでは、複数の楽器を自らこなし、全ての楽器の要素を素敵に組み合わせて奏でられるメロディーが特徴。自身のユニークなアイデアで、アメリカ50州のそれぞれのためにアルバムを作るという壮大な計画を発表し、話題を呼んだ。バンドメンバーSufjan (vocals, piano, guitar, banjo)Casey Foubert (guitar)Shara Worden (vocals, glockenspiel)、アニー･クラーク (bass, vocals)このメンバーに含まれるShara Worden の「My Brightest Diamond」がOpening Act として登場。また、アニー･クラークは、ポリフォニック・スプリーでもギターを弾いており、ソロ・プロジェクト「St.Vincent」のデビュー・アルバム国内盤が2007年10月10日にリリースされている。2008年1月21日（月）～1月22日（火）に初来日。ディスコグラフィー * 『ミシガン』(2003)、リリースされるや世界中で反響を呼ぶ。 * 『イリノイ』(2005)、Amazon.com(US)のBest of 2005の第一位に。ブルックリン・クイーンズ高速道路のための交響詩プロジェクトなど大きなコンセプトと緻密なディテールの両方を好んだ作品。 * 『ジ・アヴァランチ』(2006)、そこに収まりきらなかった曲が集められた、言わば『イリノイ』パート2のような作品。 * 『ソングス・フォー・クリスマス』(2006)、5枚組のクリスマス・ボックス・セット。
