2003年にオーストラリアで結成されたポストハードコア/メタルコアバンド。2005年にバンド名を冠したEP、The Amity Afflictionでデビューした。叙情味溢れるサウンドを前面に押し出した透明感ある曲作りを得意とする。2012年に発表した3rdアルバム、Chasing Ghostsではオーストラリアのチャートで1位を獲得した。
