2007年にニューヨークのブルックリンで結成された、キップ（G/Vo）、ペギー（Key/Vo）、カート（Dr）、アレックス（B）の四名から成るインディー・ポップ・バンド、ザ・ペインズ・オブ・ビーイング・ピュア・アット・ハート（POBPAH）。'08年に発表した「Everything With You」で、一躍インディー・シーンの最前線に躍り出す。'09年初頭には、セルフ・タイトルのデビュー・アルバムを発表し、さらなる評価を獲得。同年12月には、マイ・ブラッデイ・ヴァレンタインがキュレーターを務めたAll Tomorrow’s Partiesにも出演を果たしている。
