Tame Impalaは豪パース出身(Perth, Australia)の４人組のサイケデリックロックバンド。2008年にKevin Parker (lead guitar,vocals)、Dominic Simper (guitar)、Jay Watson (drums,backing vocals, synths)、そしてNick Albrook (bass,guitar) によって結成された。彼らの音楽はCream、独サイケデリックバンドColour Hazeなど幅の広いサイケデリック音楽からの影響を感じさせる。彼ら自身は''夢見心地な旋律をもつあらゆるサイケデリックグローブバンドから流暢に学んだ''と語る。バンドは2008年から何枚かのEPをリリースし続け好評をうけ2010年についにデビューアルバムを発表した。2010年にデビューアルバム『Innerspeaker』をリリースした。2012年にセカンドアルバム『Lonerism』をリリース。Pitchforkなどの批評で高評価を受けた。2009年にSUMMER SONIC 09で初来日した。
