サークル・ジャークス（Circle Jerks）は、USパンク・シーンの重鎮、ブラック・フラッグの初代ヴォーカリストを務めたキース・モリスを中心とするハードコア・バンド。81年にリリースした１st『グループ・セックス』は、アルバム・トータルわずか15分という衝撃的な作品だった。しかも、ショート／ファスト／ラウドな中にしっかりとメロディもあり、それは後の西海岸ハードコアの特徴的なスタイルになっていく。しかし、85年の『ワンダフル』では、なぜか!? ハードロック／ヘヴィメタル寄りのサウンドにアプローチし、不評を買ってしまう。だが、87年の『IV』で再びテンポの良い楽曲に回帰し、ファンを安心させた。
