2000年にデトロイトで結成されたメロディックデスメタルバンド。その過激な音楽性からは想像もつかない商業的成功を収めており、2011年発表の5thアルバム、Ritualはビルボード総合ランキングで31位を記録した。 At The GatesやIn Flames、Soilwork等のスウェディッシュ・メロディックデスメタル、同時にMorbid Angel、Malevolent Creationを代表とするフロリダ産デスメタルの影響を受けており、その影響が作品に表れているのが特徴である。他にもCarcass、Dissection、Emperor、Suffocationなどを好きなバンドとして挙げている。ボーカルのスタイルは近年メタルコアバンドでよく見られる、高音と低音の差がハッキリとついた2種類のグロウルを使うものである。クリーンボイスを楽曲に取り入れたことはない。現在のメンバーVocal : Trevor Strnad全ての作詞を担当。『太った体型にメガネ』、という大人しそうな見た目からは想像もできないような強烈なデスボイスを繰り出す。凶悪な歌詞を書くようになった理由は、彼が若い頃からカニバリズムな内容の本を読んでいたから、という事である。ライブ中は激しく腕を振り回し、ファンを鼓舞しながら歌うのが特徴。Guitar : Brian Eschbachバンドの全ての作曲、編曲を担当。Lead Guitar : Ryan KnightBass : Ryan "Bart" WilliamsDrums : Shannon Lucas旧メンバーDavid LockZach GibsonTony LaureanoJon DeeringSean GauvreauMike SchepmanCory GradyPierre LangloisKevin TalleyJohn Kempainen
