1997年、ラルフ・シーパース(Vo,ex-GAMMA RAY)とマット・シナー(b,SINNER)を中心に結成。ドイツ出身ということでジャーマン・メタルにカテゴライズされるが、HELLOWEENやラルフがかつて所属していたGAMMA RAYとは異なり、より正統派に近い硬質なメタルを演奏している。初期にはラルフのロブ・ハルフォード直系のハイトーンヴォイスをクローズアップした疾走感溢れる曲が主だったが、近年はメロディと重厚さを強調した音楽性へとシフトしている。結成以来精力的に活動し、1年から2年おきに新作を発表。ヨーロッパでは絶大な支持を得ている。2014年発表の10thアルバム”Delivering The Black"は、ドイツ国内の公式チャートで13位にランクイン。衰えない人気をアピールした。
